  1. For this journal I would like to thank Keira. She’s been my partner for two speeches this semester. Keira was very easy to work with and brought ideas into all of our projects. In the first project where I had no experience with origami and she did. Whenever I had a hard time, she was able to help me throughout each step. I also got lucky because she was able to provide materials for the origami project as well. We were able to meet up many times throughout this semester without any issues. Honestly, I felt we work pretty good together, bouncing off ideas. Not only was it fun to work with her, but it was definitely an easy process. We were able to communicate on the phone doing things independently then meeting up putting forth how we were going to present the speeches. In conclusion, I would like to thank Keira for being open to many ideas, formatting, and even going out of her way to make sure that the speech is successful.

  2. The thank-you note I want to write is for Maddie Caetano. Maddie and I met because we live on the same floor. Ever since we met, we have been friends, and I believe that she is a great friend and a great person. She is always there for me if I am struggling and always listens to what I am saying. She helps me with any problems I may have, and I always help her with hers. She always motivates me to go to class and helps me if I am confused about an assignment or project. We always work together to get things done. When we worked together on our friendship bracelet project, we spent so much time preparing and tying knots to make sure our friendship bracelet strings turned out perfect. I think that we work great as a team, and I am glad we are working together to make Speech 4. After completing speech 4, I believe we work great together as a team, and I think being in a class together has brought us even closer, and I am glad to call her a close friend of mine.

  3. I have two people I’d like to thank; Gabe is the first person I’d like to thank. Gabe always provided insightful and helpful feedback after my speeches. Working on the last project together was a breeze; he always responded quickly to emails, showed up when needed, and provided what he needed for the project. Gabe always brought good ideas to the table and contributed. The second person I’d like to thank is Grace. Grace and I have worked on two projects together so far, and each one has been easy; there’s been no communication struggles, everything has been turned in on time, and she makes great outlines. That’s about all.

  4. Abby, I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for everything you’ve done for me this semester. I honestly appreciate you more than you know. Whether it was working together on class projects, helping me stay organized, or just being someone I could talk to when things felt overwhelming, you were always there. I’m really grateful for how patient, kind, and supportive you’ve been, even on days when I was stressed or confused about assignments. You never made me feel bad for asking questions or needing help, and that means a lot to me.

I also appreciate how you always bring such a positive energy into whatever we’re doing. Even when we’re just studying or working on something simple, you somehow make it more fun and less stressful. Getting to know you better has honestly made this semester so much easier, and I’m really glad we are roommates. Thank you for being someone I can count on, someone I can laugh with. I’m really grateful for you, and I hope you know how much your support has meant to me.

  5. For my thank you note, I would like to thank Norah. Thank you for always helping me get through this class and partnering up with me. This is our second project working together, and I feel like we have become friends because of public speaking. She was always there and responsible for any part in the project we did. I think we both work really well together, and I think this helped break out of our shells. The both of us always had really great thoughts for our projects and we made sure that we incorporated each of our ideas. I was very nervous and anxious to take public speaking, but because of the connections I made with the class and Norah, I feel the complete opposite now as compared to when I first started this class in the beginning of the semester. Thank you Norah, and thank you public speaking class.

  6. For my thank you note, I am very excited to thank MADISON! Madison has been so great to work with this semester. Madison is so kind, friendly, and also very funny! She and I collaborated for both project 2 and 4 so we got to know each other through our meetings. Madison and I were able to support each other on these two projects, and we also discussed our other speeches with each other a little bit to hype each other up. Madison is so on top of her work and assignments, she would really keep me in check on these assignments which really shaped the way our assignments turned out! Even if I forgot to reply to Madison or send her a video the first time, she would ask again which is great because I am so forgetful! What I am so so so thankful about from Madison is her editing on project 4! Over break and this week Madison has been editing and making our project great, she is the best! Thank you so much Madison, it has been amazing to work with you in and out of class! Have a GREAT winter break!

Also thank you to everyone else, you made this class so fun and as enjoyable as a class can get.

  7. I want to thank Giselle!! She has been such a great partner to work with this year on multiple speeches. We got to know each other so much more from this class, we both live on the same floor so that helped us meet each other and after realizing we had public speaking together we both bonded more with each other. Giselle is always on top of everything which keeps me in check in class or when doing a speech project together. She has made me felt more comfortable in that class and not be so nervous. She is always there for me even when I am stressed moments before going to the front of the class to present my speech. I want to thank her for all the hard work she put into speech 2 and 4 and for making this class fun for me. overall she’s such a great friend, thank you!!!

  8. I want to give a big thank you to my partners, Giselle and Maddi, for everything they did during this last project. They were both so kind and supportive, and they made sure we stayed on track with everything that needed to get done. They each put in a lot of effort, contributed great ideas, and always gave helpful feedback on how we could make our project even better. Because of this project, I was able to get to know them both more, and I’m really grateful for how positive and encouraging they were throughout the entire process. Their energy and teamwork made the experience productive and enjoyable.

I also really appreciate this class for giving us opportunities to work together, learn from each other, and step out of our comfort zones. The projects and discussions in this class helped me grow, and I’m thankful for the environment that made teamwork like this possible.

  9. For my thank you note I want to thank both my group project partners: Nic and Gabe. Throughout the projects (speech 2 with Nic and speech 4 with Nic and Gabe), communication has been concise, easy, and meaningful. We’ve been able to work diligently together in order to complete the projects to the best of our abilities in order to get the grade we wanted. Also, any problems we’ve had throughout the drafting or delivering phase we have been able to work through very easily without much arguing back and forth. It has really made this class go so smoothly and has made the semester easier.

  10. Evelynn, I wanted to thank you for putting p with all my mistakes throughout this project. It definitely took a lot of practice to get our script “perfect” and to pronounce our words correctly. I also wanted to thank you for your editing work you are amazing at what you did and really helped our video be its best. I loved being able to work with you and getting out all of our laughs. Lastly I wanted to thank the class and Mr. Miller for putting up with our links not working and being patient while we try to figure it out.

  11. I would like to thank Jayden who, if it weren’t for this class, I wouldn’t have met. Jayden, you are the most selfless, funny, gracious, and beautiful person. You have been a better friend to me than anyone, and I can’t even begin to explain how much you mean to me. With every project we’ve done together, you have been efficient, as well as pushing me to have the motivation to get something done. Seeing you genuinely brightens every single day, and I am SO glad that you sat next to me in Public Speaking. (:

  12. I’d like to thank everyone who I’ve been in a group project with for this journal. I’ve never had to pester anybody about late work or never had to do the majority of the workload as it’s been super balanced. Everyone in this class brought positive energy and it was a super healthy environment to work in! I’d recommend this class and teacher to anybody interested in public speaking too.

  13. The thank-you note I would like to write is for who have been my speech partners throughout the semester, Lillian, Norah, and Madison. Working with you all throughout our speeches has made this class so much more enjoyable and meaningful. Each of you brought something unique to the group, whether it was ideas, support, or simply positive energy when we needed it. Thank you for always being reliable, patient, and willing to practice together, even when things got stressful.

  14. I just wanted to say thank you to Evelynn for inspiring me in our public speaking class. You probably don’t realize it, but watching the way you confidently use big, unique, and expressive words in your speeches has really encouraged me to do the same. Before this class, I usually stuck to simple language because I was afraid of sounding awkward or making mistakes. But seeing how naturally you incorporate creative vocabulary, and how it makes your speeches stand out, showed me that taking risks with language can actually make a message stronger. The speech that really sticks out was your “What You Mean To Me” speech about your grandmother, the way you expressed your feeling through all these fun and unique word was actually amazing. Honestly because of you, I feel like I’ve started challenging myself to explore new words and add more color to what I say. It has made writing speeches a lot more fun, and it’s helped me grow not only as a speaker but also as a person who enjoys learning and expressing ideas in new ways. Thank you for being such a positive influence and being such a colorful and fun person, without even trying.
